The Humane League is a non-profit that works to reduce the suffering of farm animals through education. Their campaigns aspire to change eating habits through corporation outreach, demos, and activism, both online and in-person.
The Humane League was founded in the US and has a branch in Mexico. Their main focus is reducing the suffering of animals used for human consumption such as cows and hens, among others. Their main strategy is the modification of corporate and institutional practices through animal welfare campaigns that target specific companies, such as Grupo Posadas, Soriana and Walmart Mexico.
I started working with them as a volunteer and then became an intern to complete my Master's Degree in Translation from ISTRAD. I collaborated under the supervision of Martha Mondragón, communications coordinator of The Humane League in Mexico.
